Have you ever told someone that you thought they were amazing

And they respond with, “no I’m not” when they truly stand above the rest? She’s a hard ass but I like it. I mean she has so many other intellectual abilities. But life has taught me that when some one you admire says “no I’m not” they sometimes are telling the truth.. they are aware they are not ... as perfect as you see them.
