I Know the Difference Between Lust and Love

Oh my!
I once fell in love, time and time again.
I was mistaken .. big time.
I was in lust 😒
I wanted, needed instant gratification!
Well, my body and emotions did, my heart and soul suffered.
Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice.. or more.. shame on me! 😟

So I did an aboutface, I shut down, I could not trust men nor me!

My heart and soul still had the desire for a partner, a mate.
I needed someone to break thru my walls. I'd know then if they wanted ME.
Not a good lay, or a fun time..
All of me!

I can honestly say, I know what true love is now.
It came late in my life but.. oh my! So fine.
Now all of me is satisfied!
