Are you a fast reader?

Depends on what I'm reading. If it's the news, I'll read fast. If it's a good book, I'll slow down and enjoy.

Depends on what I'm reading.
I can scan if hunting for something specific, and speed read if I have a research deadline.
Pop fiction is always a quick and easy way to relax.
But when it's poetic literature or something serious that I want to fully absorb, I'll take it very slow and read deeply.

Nowhere near as fast as I would like. Partly I think is that I don't get a lot of time to read what I want to read anymore, less than an hour a day. It's kind of a paradox — I'm constantly reading through the day, but it seems to take forever to get through whatever book I happen to be reading for myself.

Not with a Tolkien, Stoker, Shelley or King book. Sometimes I have to re - read a paragraph, page or chapter.
