The one time I ask her to pay the rent, she throws a hissy fit over it

I thought I was going to get a relief check today, but it’s actually coming Friday instead. The rent is due tomorrow and I’m not going to be able to pay in time. I always pay the rent while she covers our groceries and electricity. I asked her to pay the rent this time and that I would pay her back Friday but she got all mad about it. I know it’s an inconvenience for her but my check is direct-deposited into my bank account, I can pay her back first thing on Friday. She’ll have to wait two days at most to get her money back so I don’t see why it’s such a big deal. The rent is actually a bit more than the expenses she covers, which I’ve been willing to live with, especially since I’ve worked more than she has. I wish she would cut me some slack. I’ve put up with her not pulling her weight with chores around our place. She’s been better about that now, but she could do me a solid this one time.
