I Have a Hormonal Imbalance

Can someone explain to me the. Cortaphanme test? That is likely spelled completly wrong. It's possible I don't even have the correct name of the test. It has something to do with laying down, and having a needle stuck in your abdomen. A Endroconologist orders it.
How bad does it hurt?
Do you normally have to stop certian things before having it done?
Afterward?

Maybe you mean a Cortrosyn test? It tests for the ability of your body to produce cortisol. It simulates a hormone produced by your pituitary gland and introducing it in your blood should show if the adrenal glands are responding as they should. If they don't there's your hormonal imbalance.
It's usually done in the hand, not the abdomen though so I might be off.
Another thing that comes to mind is a fine-needle aspiration - this would be inserting a needle to get a few sample cells for testing and diagnosing suspicious tissue, basically a biopsy? (since your doctor sounds like the mixing of endocrinologist and oncologist the biopsy scenario sounds likely)
Other than that I guess only an endocrinologist could really answer.

@kayoshin thank you. I will look into these. I will be contacted at some point to schedule the testing. But I'm curious. She said something about out of balance nodes & tumors so idk either lol

@SituationalSloth The needle aspiration is done on nodes the test looks at a few cells and that tells them if they are safe or tumours. Don't overthink things ahead of time. Wait for the procedure and wait for the results, looking too far ahead and reading things on the internet will just stir hell and ruin your peace of mind until the tests are back.
