I Love Movies

If a child watches Christmas movies nonstop, I'm talking Hallmark channel level, for the weeks leading up to Christmas, I wonder if that amounts to some indoctrination. The sugary ideas of having Christmas spirit, the matter of factness of Santa's existence, the inevitability of a happy ending plus snowfall on Dec 25. It just makes me worried. I wouldn't want my kid to be constantly exposed to that level of fantasy because it's portrayed so blithely as realism.

Watching a few movies are fine with me, Elf is funny, etc., it's just when kids become obsessed. I think it's not healthy. Am I crazy?

Oh I should mention... It's not my kid. I haven't said a word to this obsessed child or parent. I was just wondering.
