Drums Of Passion... When I was pretty young my Dad brought home a record of "Zungo" by Olatunji from the library...and I went wild. It rocked my little world and took me on a journey which continues to this day.The fertile soil of the motherland has given birth to most of my favorite music (yours too,if you think about it)..."remember Africa",a little bird whispers in my ear-and I oblige that commanding whisper as best I can... whenever I caress the skins and give voice to the ancestor spirits.Bless all those who lit the flame many continents away. roots.
