My dad had the most influence on me as a kid, he was a kind, good hearted man, he refused to argue but I could tell any talk of religion irritated him.
He pretty much indicated there was no such thing as a biblical (or other kind of god) He simply shrugged the whole concept off and said, all living things are god to be honored and respected but that nothing is higher than the other.

@Nanori Not only a dad but my hero, my gateway to adventure, a poet a jokester, a man who would spend hour after hour to rescue an abandoned kitten by the roadside. He would party with the movie stars of the movie colony of Palm Springs and spend the following day joking and sharing a bottle of wine with a destitude wino. My dad was love personified.

Growing up my mother tried to influence me with her Catholic upbringing and dad was/is a closet atheist. On holidays we went to a Methodist Church and that was it. As a teen I became Wiccan.
As an adult I have going back and forth with what I believe from Christianity and Wiccan to atheism and back. I go to church at least once a week and I struggle but for personal reasons. I believe there's a God but likely he doesn't believe in me I haven't given him many reasons to.

No, my parents brought me to Sunday school. But I understood at 4 it was an ordinance of sorts, that they themselves were only doing what they felt best.

It depends what you mean by religion. Since science can't explain what or who made the universe I'm at peace believing it didn't happen by accident.

I was raised in a faith. I chose a different interpretation of that faith for myself.

I was raised Unitarian...
It's nice to free think.
My grandparents gave up catholism.

I was raised Roman Catholic but no longer practice. I like other religions that allow you to question and discuss the doctrine.
