Other girls tell me about how sorry they feel for me that I'm asexual until I tell them that I experience almost no period pains because of it.

Y'all thought you had the upper hand?

[c=#BF0000]I'm very much not asexual and I don't experience period pain either except maybe a dull ache on the first day which I only noticed once I paid more attention after finding out that periods are supposed to hurt [/c]
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Wow, you're lucky. The vast majority of females I talk to describe severe pain and mood swings and weird behavior because of menstruation.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick [c=#BF0000]Yeah I found out once I came on SW and saw all the women complaining 😂 I do get a dull ache but only and only on the first day and it's not enough to bother me. To be fair none of my friends in real life have complained either so it's just something I never knew for a long time[/c]

@SW-User lol!

I'm glad you don't experience any discomfort but there aren't any studies that I'm aware of which show a correlation between heightened sexuality and increase in menstrual pain. I do think there's something to be said for the ability to not get so emotionally invested in another person when you're not sexually attracted to them.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User It's not a link between high libido and period pains. It's a link between me lacking sexual desire from hormonal problems, and a lack of period pain.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick I understand what you meant. Sorry if my response wasn't clear. I've never heard of a correlation between the two.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User It's no worries, you're still correct in your original statement.

U talking about how ur sexual orientation relates to not having period cramps/pain (which literally there is no correlation at all) proves ur the idiot.

I mean u can get sore from fucking, but tahts not pain period related, thats sore from fucking.
wakanda4eva · 26-30, F
@BlueMetalChick I was saying from the perspective of only knowing that u were asexual,a sexual orientation, and how u didnt explain the medical side to it in the other comments. Of course sexuality is of course medical initself, that would be more to do with choice, and genetics. However the hormonal part can very much affect it alot too, it was ignorant on my part to assume there was zero correlation.

Im assuming u have lower levels of prostaglandins?

The medical name for period cramps is Dysmenorrhea. They happen due to a hormone-like substance, prostaglandins, which causes the uterus walls to contract and then shed its lining, resulting in your period. If prostaglandins levels are higher, more pain is often associated with the cramps.

So thats why ur "asexual" because the endogenous release of prostaglandin is necessary for expression of sexual behaviors, and you dont have that? Or lower levels of it.

@wakanda4eva Basically, yes. You're one of maybe three people who I've encountered that actually knows how that works. 90% of the replies I get are "you just haven't been fucked the right way yet" 🙄
wakanda4eva · 26-30, F
@BlueMetalChick xD I searched google. to not be such a stuck up ass, it was idiotic on my end, since u did make a comment on hormonal problems on June 8. I Wouldnt lean on "getting fucked the right way" to having a sex drive, I would know.

@IstillmissEP Culture can give me the idea of sex out.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@IstillmissEP That's what asexual means. In sexuality, at least, not in reproduction.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick Yes which in theory means you can enjoy sex purely without the convulsion, but I do get that is hard unless you do certain things as women
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
Maybe you don’t notice the pain because you’ve been through worse 👀
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrustyDDingus That's...both incredibly interesting and very disturbing.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@BlueMetalChick that’s about my opinion of you, but in a good way as far as the disturbing part goes 😏
sarabee1995 · 26-30, F
No period pain here and definitely not asexual. But then, I'm also on depo shots so rarely have periods at all. 🤷‍♀️
SW-User
Is there a correlation between sexuality, desire, and periods?
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick And I do think you are healthfully a litle depressed knowing what you want?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User Depressed? By what?
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick A very smart woman, self professed saying what you want? Hard to find? Depressed by how this world is.
SW-User
How is it possible that you feel no cramps?
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick ok so short answer to your Qs is No
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@SW-User No what? I was making fun of girls who bitch and whine about period pains all the time but then say they feel sorry for me because I'm asexual on account of hormone problems. But those same hormone problems also result in me having virtually no period pains.
SW-User
@BlueMetalChick you asked a Qs here.. i only answered that
