I took a Lyft home from the train station. Just a couple of miles, late night after a show. Young lady, clean car, she rolled a couple pf stop signs in the side streets and did not have a phone holder. Had her phone nav in one hand while steering with the other the whole ride.

My first and last rideshare was a female Lyft driver. We had some good conversation and got along great. No complaints.

Unless it's a bus full of bikini models needing an "oil boy", I prefer just drive myself... 🤔

@wildbill83 if I'm going into the city to have some fun I'll take the train in and ride from there. Don't have to worry about parking of if I can have another drink at the bar.

See I almost always choose to walk. I've slipped on sidewalks, drunk, on ice but my worry is then myself
I use uber, all of my male drivers have been very professional in regards to their driving.

Their conversations though. Some guys give me the creeps.

Twice I had a female driver and both times I felt very uncomfortable.

@PuppetOnStrings that's an interesting response. were you uncomfortable with the driving skills of the female drivers? I'm cautious about my conversations with female passengers. I'll generally participate in a convo if invited, but usually don't one on my own.

@GerOttman Yes, first experience the lady turned and knocked into the curb.

Second one was a longer drive, and the lady swerved a couple of times where I jerked in my seat.

I don't mind conversation but I just pretend I'm married now.

Never used one, where I live it's not available
helenS · 36-40, F
Did that make you feel uncomfortable?
GerOttman · 61-69, M
@helenS Not really, I drive myself. It's just a little unprofessional. I tend to be critical of other drivers when I'm the having the 'backseat' experience. The guy who picked us up from the show and took me to the train station was spot on!

@GerOttman I don't have a car myself, and I start panicking easily in someone else's car. 😬
