Some suggestions, please, for cleaning up a VERY messy room

My room is an awful mess...and I live in ONE rented room! So I need to clean it up and soon. I have a lot of trash around, a lot of clutter. And a lot of old empty wine bottles to put out into our recycle bin. When I get the trash and junk out, I will hire someone to sweep and wash my floor.

Anyone here ever deal with this kind of problem? I can use some suggestions and some encouragement. If I can't get it to look better, I could get thrown out of here. I like it here and don't want that to happen. Also, looking at my room is demoralizing. It's contributing to my current state of depression. I am 75 years old and arthritic so doing anything is hard most days.

Start small. Do a little bit every day. Bag up some garbage. Take the bottles out.
The next day do a little more. In a week it will look way better.
I'd help you if I could.

@SW-User I tried doing a little bit every day, but it never seemed to add up to much accomplished. I got discouraged after about two weeks.

@greenmountaingal I understand it can be overwhelming if you're depressed and don't feel well. Have you ever tried to make it fun ? Like play music and just think of it differently?
I wish there was someone close that could help you . I'd knock most of it out in a day but I'm so far from you.
