They had no place is Vietnam. And why is a senseless war started by old people such a good thing? A lot of deaths happened for no reason. @lasergraph

@MorbidCynic My comment has nothing to do with whether or not we should have been in Vietnam, I won't argue with you because the only viewpoint you have is formed by reading the watered down politically correct history books that are used today. My point was that these men who were mere boys at the time had no choice whether to be there or not, they were drafted or at least the largest percentage were.

You are at that age where you won't listen to anyone else, I know, I have been there too in the past. You feel ten feet tall and bulletproof at this moment but time will temper that. As you age you see a lot more death. The people you have spent a lifetime with made that journey before you. I even had the bad luck to bury two children. Life will change you and your perspective. Don't just believe everything you read, go seek out people who have actually lived in the past and find out what they can teach you.
