Barbara Kay on the Steubeville rape case.

First of all, ours is not a rape culture. If it were, our girls would be walking around in burkas. Second, it is my impression that the sex that goes on at these parties is not considered rape most of the time by either girls or boys, and that partnering up and swapping around is considered normal party behaviour in some places. Third, girls getting blind drunk at such a young age is something new, and it is my impression as well that they are doing it in order to gear up for having sex at these parties because it is what they think it is cool to do, even though they really don't want to. If guys thought they were raping girls, and they certainly know the penalty for rape, is it conceivable they would be flashing photos of themselves online doing it? Sorry, much too easy to pin it all on the guys. You're not helping these girls by subtly indicating that it is perfectly acceptable behaviour to be drunk and having sex with multiple partners in full view of their peers. If it is rape, then it should be called rape before it goes online. But the pattern is that it only gets called rape when the girl is slut-shamed."
No matter how you read this, it is rape apology . Jackie boy applauds her for these comments, cos Paul Elam told him to.
I paticularly liked her ironic comment about rape culture, and why there isn't one. Ypu couldn't make this shit up.
