*Tax Forfeiture means Paul D Elam did not pay the required "franchise taxes" to the state of Texas, according to Texas Law, "Liability of Director and Officers," Section 171.255, this allows the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts to hold corporate officers and directors personally liable for taxes owed to the state by a corporation that has had its corporate privileges forfeited for failure to satisfy its franchise tax obligations. Also, if they continue to do business while the corporate privileges have been forfeited, the corporate officers and directors and possibly the shareholders may expose themselves to personal liability for other debts as well.
