I Believe In Traditional Roles Within Marriage

Wow, there are so many flaws in the "logic" the original poster, (& her defenders), attempted to use that I don't know where to start. I won't even mention the crackpot conspiracy theories of one poster.

The idea/concept of"traditional" marriage depends entirely one one's cultural upbringing. Are we to assume that the OP wishes to bring back arranged marriages? After all, that was considered "traditional" for thousands of years in most cultures, & still is considered that by by many cultures.

The rise in divorce rates simply correlates to the fact that women began demanding, & getting, more rights, one of which was the right to not be seen as chattel. Divorce laws changed, & a lot of spouses in abusive marriages gained the right to be free from that.

To take the corollary further, should those women that prefer to remain single be forced/coerced into arranged "traditional" marriages? After all, it sounds like the OP & most sharing her views here see women as nothing more than subservient beings, to be nothing more than servants, (both household & in the bedroom), to their husbands, brood mares & raisers of children.

If you're stupid enough to not want the same freedoms & equality as men have, then you're stupid enough to allow yourself to be abused & treated like a second class citizen. Consequently, a man has absolute rule over you, which means he has the ultimate decision in whether you live or die.

It's stupidity such as this that has Roy Moore being the GOP nominee for the Senator's seat in Alabama when he's a pedophile. After all, his fourteen year old victim was a girl, so she didn't matter, & apparently still doesn't.
