I Love My Sister

Through pain we are united, here and I, shielded from a common enemy, our father. One umbrella alone wasn't enough to keep us from drowning under the torrential downpour of physical and verbal abuse, but by sharing one, we managed to survive.

I'm so grateful to have her. Going through what I have, or quite easily worse, one would need a friend of some sort to joke with. If I didn't have her, I might not be alive today. Sometimes the greatest thing of all is knowing that someone cares about you, and that it would really hurt them to watch you go. I hope she understands how much it would hurt me to watch her go.
