Tell me a story...

That you overcame something. It could be the moment you were giving up and something happened and you got back on your feet... or anything like that.

I went through meds withdrawal after an emotional year, it took 4 weeks for the shakes to stop for my vision to be full and for my body to start keeping food down again. It was a horrible month. I remember shivering in 98 degree weather. I had a low moment ...it was horrible...

I just finished my first year of grad school and I just got my first house ...I don’t take meds anymore.

@AnthroKenji I'm very happy for you to overcome that when most people don't. My brother is an alcoholic and seems to not want help. And thank you for sharing that.

@Sunflower2021 Mmm that’s unfortunate. There’s many ways to helping yourself that may or may not include people/family. Hope he finds a way.

@AnthroKenji me too. He's been drinking for more than 10 years so I know it will be hard for him. He don't want help and he says he don't like talking about feelings. I guess he's fine with where he's at. I haven't talked to him because all he talks about is himself.

@Sunflower2021 Mmm, I have many uncles like that, they’re essentially drinking themselves to death. My mom and dad tried to help them for years, most of them died. My two uncles my parents gave up on. Can only do so much.
