I Am Feeling Sad

I had hoped you would come for a visit this fall, like you did in 2015. We both had a lovely time, and you got to see our sons (one abroad) again for the last time, though no one knew it was the last time we would see you.

There are places you missed that I wanted to show you, and it looks beautiful here right now.

I miss our occasional texts and calls to talk about movies, politics, and our boys.

God, we were apart, but 25-years means something, even when it doesn't work out. We were still family. Always will be. Oh God. 😢 I do miss you so much.
