The End. (Actually my title is perfect. It is not too short you stupid MFs)
Until I am foolish enough to decide to start over.
I slaughtered my last steer yesterday. He will hang until Saturday and then the breaking and grinding begins.
Looking forward to a winter full of steaks and roasts and not having to worry about frozen water or if I have enough hay to get through till spring. Also looking forward to no calls involving, "your cows are out!" Also looking forward to working on my old "junk" because I want to, not because I have to.
There is a slight sense of loss though. I have been raising animals for most of my life and it will be odd to have the gates open and the barn empty.
Not odd enough to actually regret it though.
