Don't change for others change only for yourself.
People can be cruel unfortunately. Be yourself and ignore the rude and ignorant. There are lots of them on here

Sounds like these were the wrong people, and [b]they[/b] were wrong, not you.

There are periods in my life where I felt like that.

Looking back... I realized it was all in my head. 99% of the time when I thought people were thinking of me... they weren’t. And that’s OK because it was just my narcissism talking.

You have to focus your energies outside your own brain. Channel it into something good and your life will change positively.

Continue being kind and nice whether they use you or not. Your actions do not require the approval of anything but your conscience; everything else is secondary.

You can keep being kind and nice but also be smart.
