I Am Confused By People Who Think This Is A Dating Site
Actually, I'm not.
In fact, I'm happy for those who found their love matches here.
Frankly, this site is better than any dating site.
I never believed that dating sites will work for me even when I was much younger. But one day, I was bored and just browsing sites. I joined a site with an idea for travel buddies. I love to travel. Perhaps I can meet fellow travelers my age, men/women to meet and greet when we're at the same place and see where it goes. Well, that's the idea of the site, at least I believed it was. In a matter of minutes I had lots of messages. Guess what, all were just catfishing. 🤪 My, if I were too dumb to believe about messages being copy/paste to everyone including me and the lines were taken from a good book of quotes, I might be hooked. But I knew better. There was even a man who pretended to be a 3-star US Army General, so I let him talk even if his pictures were photoshopped and he was very nice with all the sugar-coated words. When it's too good to be true, it is! Then the final moment, I asked him his military email and APO address, he was like WHAT IS THAT? Hilarious! 🤣
One of my girlfriends told me to try another coz she found her beloved there. She just flew to CA for good after meeting him in person last year. I told her, it won't work yet I checked on it....Voila! I was suspended! 😂 After reading some profiles to see how they sell themselves, I was irked on how these men/women enumerate the kind of partners they prefer to serve their conceited personalities. I even talked to a few telling them bluntly but in a nice way about how I felt about their meticulous & well-crafted personalities. I even posted my keen observation on my profile and I was kicked out. LOL
Hey, relationship is a two-way street. It's not just about one person but a couple entangled in a mixed culture and different persona to develop as one as their two paths progress into a single walkway of togetherness.
Finding SW is much better. At least here, I can read people with real stories, not the self-serving,egotistical people who thought they're better than anyone else.
For some, dating sites might work. But for me, it never did.
