So my love life has taken a direction I never thought it would go.

So... like, I've had a boyfriend for a while. And I'm bi, so I've always had curiosities, but I never thought I'd act on them... And, wow, how do I put this - I guess I also have a girlfriend now? And like, everyone involved is aware and okay with it?

It feels like I'm living in some weird fantasy dream, and I'm going to wake up and be disappointed, honestly. But if this were a dream, I feel like I wouldn't have to do these dang reports for work, so it must be real.

I don't know - I never saw myself being in this position, so it's massively conflicting with my self image. I'm just, like... happy. And it's weird to me. These people make me feel safe, and secure, and comfortable for the first time in my life, and the fact that this even an option for me is wild. I know it's super non-traditional, and this post is probably going to get people upset and call me immoral and a sinner, and all that crap, but you know what? I don't care. I'm just going to enjoy this for as long as it lasts.

Humans have been in tribal poly amorous relationships for most of history. We've convinced ourselves that monogamy is the way it's always been but that's a myth

@plungesponge It honestly just feels right. Like it's something we've lost as a society.

@FaeLuna I think it's historically natural, though not necessarily ideal either. Basically nature creates a wide variety of men, from very smart and very fit to very dumb and very lazy, and then women select for the male they see as most fit to survive. It's the reason men are compelled to fvck everything, and women are only satisfied with the prince (actually not even really then, a woman's happiness tends to come from children, not men). But this system leaves a lot of loser men out of luck, unless the tribes practice wife sharing (gee I wonder why there's so much interest in that on SW) or the weaker men are just killed off
