I Strive to Be Self-actualized

Got my fire back

I believe self actualisation is the only true path forward for each of us, it is the failure of this outside of circumstance that leads to a mind state of defeatism. The failure to meet adversity in a constructive way, anxiety and depression manifesting as a result of resistance built from a foundation of false personal truths, creating lack of self belief as we practice it without realising. Projecting this out into the world and receiving the same in return, confirming our false beliefs about ourselves.

We sit around complaining and procrastinating talking to other equally lost people and wonder why we're so down on ourselves. Creating an echo chamber in our cultures of a victimhood mentality, making people believe that they're undependable to themselves and through compassion weakening those people.
We need to stop making excuses all the time no matter how valid they may be and actually change ourselves, otherwise what good is our reasoning if it becomes a beast that eats it's own legs.

I hope for everyone to achieve their highest potential and become happy in themselves, but we must be the ones who we can depend on to do that. We may not be even 1% accountable for some of the terrible things that have happened in our lives, but we're 100% accountable for what we do about it now.

All the best

@SW-User That's what happened to me at one point, used to be naively optimistic and the fall was very hard indeed.
This comes from a place of having lived in deep deep despair for many years.

I do believe however that while problems may be very complex, the solutions can be simple, and our attitude to these problems can be half the battle. It's about becoming a person who can be dependable in the face of adversity and being able to cope even in the knowledge of these harsh truths we have to face.

Sometimes there's realities and events we cannot avoid or ignore, but all we can do sometimes is make the best of it.

There is no path to self actualisation. Self actualisation is the path. Like you said :)

@SW-User I think it's unavoidable, but i think sometimes we get lost in a fog and lose sight of how to be motivated and actually take pleasure in the journey itself.
