I Am Not Close To My Sister
We were very close when we were kids, doing pretty much everything together, liking the same shows, same games, but after we both became teens we started to distance ourselves from eachother. I'd go outside everyday after school to play football, which she wasn't interested in, then she got a differet circle of friends than mine. Plus she turned out to be the popular type, liked by everyone, best in her class, while me on the other hand, I was more reserved and stuck to a smaller group of friends or even to one best friend.
Towards the times when we both went to college, it felt like we never talked, like we were almost strangers. And even though we lived in the same home, sometimes I could not see her for days and not know what's up with her, what has she been up to, and frankly I wouldn't really care either.
However as of recent we started talking more, I wouldn't go as far as to say "every day", x) but over a day we do talk. For example today I talked to her on the phone for almost an hour, 57 minutes and change.
It feels like the distance got us closer.
