When you have chemistry it is an amazing attraction. But Chemistry waxes and wanes. Having a deep and meaningful friendship underpins the love and chemistry that ebbs and flows. The friendship underpins and acts as a foundation to a relationship.

It does not always go away. I was in a relationship for 18 years and the chemistry was there . I 100% agree on the friendship factor. I should've added a line for that :) @Hanging2

@CheerfullyCurious Not saying that it does. For me it ebbs and flows. Pressures in life and rushing around after kids puts a damper on it. But as soon as we relax and have some time on our own, it doesn't take much to rekindle the Chemistry bon fire. OUCH.
