I Story Behind My User Name

.

Alright. I never thought it was a big deal, but I have been asked so here it is.

Way back, a bunch of years ago, several of my family members were in crisis mode all at once. My name, back then was DragonBlue. Well with one thing and another I got locked out of that account. Forgot my password, couldn't get it reset because I no longer had the same email under which I had registered.
So I opened a new account.

As I said family problems had me in a troubled state of mind. So the name I chose was GrantMePeace. I felt it was appropriate at the time. It fit and it worked. Although everybody thought I was a man named Grant Mepeace. I was getting mail addressed to Mr Mepeace.

Anyhow, skip ahead a bit and life begann to get better for my kids, and when my kids are fine, so am I.

I thought it was time for a name change. I asked my EP friends what they thought might be more fitting now that I was no longer a basket case. There were some good ones, but one friend said that she thought of me as being strong as a tree when all that stuff was happening to my family. I liked that. I thought of Ash. She said no. She said that since things had settled down, she could see by my writing that I was much more serene. Why not call myself SerenityTree. Nice, but common and too clumsy in my mouth.

So I put the words together and Serenitree was born.

I did a google search on the name, and at the time, there were none at all. A few weeks ago, I searched again and discovered there are quite a few.

So, there it is.

Great back story! I am amazed how creative folks are in selecting screen names to convey something more than a lable to themselves.

I like it........... I don't have enough creativity so I am just Hami1091 :) I use 1091 because when I started school and had to learn our home number that is the last 4 digits of that number ironically it was also the last 4 digits of my first cell phone number so I consider them to be my lucky numbers :) I use Hami because well it could just be my real name.....or maybe not. :)

That's more than I could've ever asked for. I did look through your stories and couldn't find it. Thank you for taking the time to do this. This is truly inspirational. I've got a little turmoil right now, myself. I'm looking forward to being where you are now. Have a great day, Serenitree.

Out of the mouth of babes, the truth is discovered. Not always flattering, but always seems to be based on truth.

May you continue to grow and become stronger each day!

Yeah, I've been told I am kind of verbose.

Back around the year 1998, my daughter got her first computer and I got an account on a poetry site. Wracking my brain trying yo think of a really good and unique name, I was babbling on and on about it to my daughter. I realized what i was doing and apologized.

She said "No problem, just babble on, gabby". A

And it hit me. My first online name was GabbyBabylon. If you google it, there is some of my writing out there.
