I Am Grieving

You would think after 12 years, I would miss my daughter less, that I would get over the loss, but the truth is, I miss her more.

Actually, I would NOT think that you’d “miss her less”. I’m really surprised that you’re still able to function. I doubt that I would be under those circumstances. My thoughts are with you.

@RemovedUsername329422 it took me 9 months of grief counselling to get thru it. i didn't want to get out of bed for over a month. the only reason i did was to work.

@akindheart: I battled depression for 2 years after my Daddy died. At the time, it was the worst thing that I had been through in my life. But to go through what you have, is truly is unfathomable. I can’t even conceive that thought. And do NOT WANT TO. I’m so SORRY for your crushing loss. My thoughts are with you.

@RemovedUsername329422 the story is even worse. i did not know she was in the hospital and was only told after she passed. then her girls were taken away and we were not allowed to see them. took 10 yrs.

@akindheart: Oh, that’s just horrible. I was with my Daddy when he passed. It’s still painful to remember him taking his last gasps of life. It sometimes haunts me. But it also brings a small measure of comfort to know that I could be there for him in the end, as he was always there for me in life. I’m truly sorry that you weren’t able to properly say your goodbyes. That’s heart breaking.
