I recommend you look for something that lets you control your aperture and your shutter speed that way you will have more flexibility when taking and composing images.
I think the most important thing to consider is, what could a real camera offer you that your phone doesnt? I know that a number of different phones now have amazingly good cameras that handle 90% of photography needs. Is there something specific that you want to be able to do?
While phone cameras have gotten much better recently, I still have one that will do more powerful zooming and other adjustments that the phone camera won’t. Doesn’t need to be too expensive to be good. I have this one.
