Do you think that these gold bars are legit? then how could they sell them for $26 bucks

By all means, if you want it for reasons of the imprinted message, buy all you like - but don't expect to be able to pawn it. In fact, take one to a reputable jeweler or pawn shop and get it appraised. If they'll give you $20 for it, I'll eat my sun hat..
I'm not too worried. Besides, it's straw. Lots of fiber.@MarmeeMarch
@Mamapolo2016 You want ketchup or ranch on that??? 🤣
Tastes change. I'll make that decision when the time comes. 😂😂😂@HootyTheNightOwl

I looked this up online and it makes a lot of sense... Best Answer: Nothing much. Did you buy them off on ebay?

A bar described as "1oz 100 mills 24k GOLD!!!!" contains one ounce of worthless scrap metal, plated with gold to only 100 millionths of an inch deep (0.0001 inches of gold). In plating, "mill" does indeed stand for millionths of an inch of gold.

eBay seems to be full of these sorts of items. The terms "solid" (meaning full of scrap metal, not hollow) and "pure gold" (meaning the plating is pure, not the scrap metal) are often used misleadingly, while the term "plated" almost never appears. Gold plated items are generally almost worthless; for example, a 1oz 100 mill plated-gold bar might sell for $10 on a good day, while a 1oz solid gold bar currently sells for at least $1000.

They can't and they won't. My guess would be, if actual gold is involved at all, it's very very very thin gilding on the item. Gold, even 14 kt gold, is priced at over $1100 an ounce.

If you buy from them, buy for sentimental reasons, not for investment, and be aware you are NOT receiving an oz of pure gold.
I'm glad you're happy with it. Please don't drain your savings to buy more. Enjoy!@saintsong

I'm with @Mamapolo2016... If it sounds too good to be true - then it usually is... and this sounds too good to be true to me.

My son bought one and it says that it is 9999 pure 24k gold 1 troy ounce it says so on the bar itself.... He tried to place a magnet on it and it didn't work, he compared it to his legit mint gold coins and it looks just like them and so we think it is real...so we bought a few more last night.
