Let me tell you a little more on this topic. I am a Russian and I study English now. It is necessary for me: I want to read articles and books written in English, because sometimes there are no their translations into Russian and I want to know their contents. I can't ask anybody to help me with it! It is not easy for me and, to my mind, only due to my age. If I was younger, memorizing of new words and grammer rules would be something like a game for me. But now it is rather difficult, not impossible, but difficult. Therefore, try to know as much as possible while you are young; it may be useful for you in the future.

I don't get bad grades or anything like that - I just don't like doing homework. That's all.

Learn as much as possible while you are young! The older you are - the more difficult is to learn something. Your school teachers are right when they give you a lot of homework to do. I am much older that you are and I know it.
