I Have Trouble Sleeping

Alright, before I start my first post, let me just say that I'm glad to have stumbled across this site. There's not many people around me that I can freely talk to about stuff, and websites like this help me open up and calm down. Also this will probably be a very long post, so I'm sorry about that. I've had a lot of things that have bugged me throughout my life so far, but the main thing that bugged me was sleeping.
I enjoy sleeping, but it's like my mind doesn't want me to enjoy it?
Ever since I can remember, I've had nightmares, like every single night.
Mostly ones that would seem childish to many, probably..and a few more realistic ones.
Some of the "childish" ones have felt more real to me at times though.
Due to that, I would often scream in my sleep. I ended up getting kicked out of my friends houses when I was a kid because of it, and was never allowed to sleep over at any of their houses again. At one point my grandma said she saw me sleep walking. I had went into the kitchen, grabbed two sharp knives from the drawer and banged them onto the counter. I had no idea any of that happened. I think the screaming might have stopped, but I'm not sure. Some people say that I cuss in my sleep now.
Sooo, here's a list of all of the nightmares I can remember.

Alien heads? Forgot how old I was back then. I had some weird dream about some alien heads with sharp teeth trying to eat my family. I woke up on the floor freaking out, I couldn't see or move, I got trapped in some couch cushions since I was sleeping on the couch. That made me claustrophobic lol

The next I can remember was about a truck that sprayed poison (probably because the mosquito spraying truck kinda scared me). The truck in the dream was called the flea fly eating truck. Nobody ever knew when the truck would drive by, until you'd hear some weird buzzing noise. We'd have to fill up any cracks in the house with salt to keep the poison out.

I think a Freddy Krueger nightmare was the third? Can't exactly remember. Those were reoccurring, sort of. It reminded me of the first movie (the old movie), it was all dark and creepy. I wouldn't know where he was lurking. Then pretty soon I'd wake up sweating with a sharp pain in my chest. Those dreams seemed a bit more real. (And were probably the reason I'd scream in my sleep)

For a while there were ones about monsters chasing after me in caves.

A few about Slenderman coming after me in the woods.

Some about the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man? Ghostbusters was my favorite thing growing up, so I guess I can't complain, although I didn't like those dreams either.

And then after that I've had a bunch of nightmares about 18 wheelers trying to get me. It's weird, but I think some real life thing brought that up. In rl, while I was waiting for the school bus, some recycling truck came by, and for some reason turned into the damn grass, I thought it was going to hit me. I ended up being afraid of it and would start waiting by a tree for the bus to come. It was foggy out and the recycling truck came back, and came at the tree. The fricking headlights were in my eyes. People made fun of me at school and on the bus for me being afraid of it, but I couldn't help it. I think that's what might have made those nightmares happen.

A few times I've had more realistic ones, about murderers breaking into the house, ones about my dog still being alive, or ones where someone was trying to kill my feral cats.
I'm a bit fine with the ones that have my dog still alive in them, but then I wake up depressed again, remembering that she isn't around anymore.

I've had random dreams about tornado sirens, or bad droughts near where I live, and having to leave home to go on a journey up the dusty road.

And finally the last on the list, nightmares about my own cartoon characters.
Most of the time, in my dreams, I see myself as my main character, or sona, Spooky (that zombie cat with short rainbow hair), whatever you wanna call it.
Most of the time the dream setting would be in a war zone or in the enemies base, I guess since I'm working on a cartoon about her past, it's setting would be in some sort of war on her home planet.
It seems almost real in my dreams, mainly the sounds.
So much stuff happens that it would be hard to list them all, but the villains voice, I can hear the voices in those dreams and man is it CREEEEPY. It's funny to think that my own characters can end up creeping me out. XD It even makes me shudder just thinking about it right now.

So yea. That's pretty much a list of the junk my mind likes to throw at me whenever I try to sleep. I may be an adult but I have nightmares that may seem childish. I don't exactly have anyone to talk to about this sort of junk so I thought I'd might as well let it all out on here.

...Now it's past midnight, so I'm going to bed. G'night.
