I Am An Aspiring Actress

I've been looking online for opportunities. Even for voice acting but none of those websites look trustworthy. I always feel weird getting paid doing anything strictly online because of having to give your info online. The only hope I have at least is Backstage.com. I like the postings that are shown on there. It feels impossible for me to get an agent because I barely have any experience and I don't have printed headshots. I live in the suburbs where no good auditions are held. The only thing I can do about this is get my driver's license, continue auditioning for theatre, taking acting classes, and hopefully when I have enough driving experience, I can drive to places a little bit farther in the city to find better opportunities. I just need to believe in myself. People keep saying acting is like winning the lottery but I disagree. You don't need talent to win a lottery- just luck. For acting, sure luck helps but you need talent and skill which I believe I have. Plus you hear of stories of people whose professional acting career didn't start until later or people who decide in the middle of their lives to have a professional acting career. That's the scary thing about not knowing what the future hold- there's a 50/50 chance you could have a happy ending or a sad ending.
