I think more people should read my posts. I remember sock-hops from the fifties, it was really like that!

Also the movie "Hairspray" was a spoof-like fond memory. The idea is the kids were really very sweet and ordinary and LUCKY! And SO MUCH FUN. I wish I could get the Boomarang Diner chain to do these on weekends...
