I Like Fun Stuff, And Fun Things, And Fun Thoughts

How do we find "Fun?" Fun can be related to entertainment. But in order to find source of fun one must learn to beat boredom! Not an easy task but today youngsters will find it impossible. Tablet/ mobile in hand 12 hours a day!?

First thing, learn to sit in one place for 15 mins and do absolutely NOTHING. Switch off phone too (no cheating).

ONLY KEEP IT 15 MINS! YOU WILL BARELY LAST! Do this 2 weeks all day. 3rd week increase your time.

6 months later you can sit for an hour ANYWHERE comfortable and not get bored. THEN THE FUN TRULY BEGINS!

Sit alone on a park bench n let your mind wander off. Can you last an hour n find fun? You will; bird singing, tree blowing n mind wavering. Hours may pass n you wont feel the pain of boredom.

6 hours plus on a moving train or plane THIS! Will feel like entertainment and not boring at all.
I like this, and you're right. Our imaginations are so diluted by the incredible variety of electronic amusement that we don't exercise our own minds anymore. There was a time when things you could imagine weren't challenged by what you could actually see. No more.

When I was a kid, which wasn't yesterday, one kid or a dozen could entertain themselves for hours with an empty tin can and a stick. Or a piece of chalk to draw the hopscotch grid and a flat stone.
Surely you don't mean actual letters on paper? With stamps and everything? Next you'll be using two sticks to start a fire.

@Mamapolo2016 No to fire but yes to letter. Paper, pen, post office for an envelope, stamp and finally a post box.
@Sazzio Wow. You are a social rebel of the first order. When I went to college and was separated from family and pre-college friends, I spent a small fortune on stationery and wax and seals to imprint the wax. Perfumed ink. Walking to the SUB (Student Union Building) to maila fistful of letters every couple of days. Eagerly checking my mailbox for incoming. Email just doesn't carry the same punch. Letters are so cool because they represent EFFORT. :)
Also, as kids, we learned never to say, "I'm bored," because some adult would answer, "I'm glad to hear that. The windows need washed."

@Mamapolo2016 LOOOL am gonna use that on my future kids.
Start 'em early on chores while they can still be persuaded it's cool to be useful. If you spring it on 'em when they're twelve, they'll call child welfare.
