I Love the Rain

It's just started raining as I'm sitting in my room. Window's wide open so I can hear the tap, tap on the window sill and smell the freshness as it hits the ground. While I snuggle up in my duvet with a book and warm cuppa tea 💜

SPRING RAINS

I thought I heard the rain outside,
And went out to find the proof,
I watched the tiny droplets fall,
Cascading off the roof.

I see the droplets gather
dripping off the flowers and the leaves.
I hear the wind blowing,
As it rustles through the trees.

The freshness surrounds me,
With its beauty to be seen.
The colors of the flowers,
Amid the sea of green.

Clouds have finally left us,
The sun is in the sky.
So many people miss the scene,
As they just pass on by.

So many things are hidden,
Obscured by the dark of night,
Like squirrels climbing in the trees,
And butterflies taking flight.

Our days ahead are numbered,
We don't know our final day.
We can choose to enjoy what's given,
Or throw it all away.
