@HalfCactus: Its kind of complicated. that bad things that happened to me when I was younger could have potentially turned me into an angry or violent or vengeful person or a psychopath or addict or any number of outcomes.. but holding onto that fear and recognizing it kept my empathy alive and I trust myself to make fair and just decisions and care about other people. Also living through fear and surviving it made me have this exceptional ability to keep my cool and take charge in situations where most people freak out.
