How do you get out of a bad mood?

What works for you?
I usually wallow and allow myself to come out of it naturally. I don't reach many highs in my life anymore, especially now that I've quit toking. When I'm feeling my worst, I cry in bed, then I turn on some Violent Femmes and toy with the idea of not feeling any more pain. I don't say "the idea of suicide" because I don't care to be dead, but I do flirt with the idea of feeling nothing at all--it's the only kind of flirting I participate in. The alternative is to fake-it and live in Automatic Mode, like a sad-heart zombie.

When I get really fed up and restless, I like to buy an iced coffee drink and drive around the countryside and end up at some park where I either stay in my car and write in my journal or walk around and take in all things natural. Seems no matter what I do, I'm running in circles, and there are only temporary fixes. I'm not easily pacified. I always have this restless feeling within me. So. I'm not one for good advice on this topic.

Dancing naked is always worth a try.

Getting a good spanking. That works.
