Ladies, would you trade places with Melania Trump?

From a totally non-partisan point of view, I'm willing to bet a precious few, (if any) would say yes. She appears stuck in a loveless marriage, she seems to just be going through the motions of living almost robotic, her affect is either flat or outwardly unhappy. The only thing she seems to have a passion for is being a mom to Barron (who typically at that age has little real compassion or empathy)

Overly satiated in the lap of luxury, there is nothing to dream or wish for, having the best of everything is meaningless with no one to share them with. High above in her ivory tower, looking out below to people living a life of at least some kind of purpose or drive. I bet this aging beauty cries herself to sleep at night. What do you think?

I would love to speak as many languages as her. I think I read she speaks 5 languages; I only speak 3 and only 2 of those fluently. She came from very modest beginnings so I would say she was crying herself to sleep in her childhood as well. She has siblings or maybe just one sibling that she has never met and to me that would be one of the saddest things in life, not to know my own family. If she isn't happy I am sure she can find a lawyer to help her get out of her marriage. She does seem sad though, as far as he mannerisms but I also think that is part of her modest upbringing and being uncomfortable in the spotlight. I wouldn't be comfortable being the first lady either so I kind of give her the benefit of doubt in some of her actions.

@BlueMetalChick: I'll be back in a few hours. My meds just kicked in. I just didn't want you to think I'm ignoring you. You know I don't do that on purpose.

@Fungirlmmm: I live in the USA right now. I'm in Chicago until I graduate university, or at least until I get a four year degree. With the way school is going in this nation, I fear I may need to move again soon. Which, to be honest, wouldn't be too upsetting. I've done it eleven times already. Although I will always miss Chicago pizza. Oh my god. Have you ever eaten a deep dish pizza? I'm an asexual, but that is the closest I've ever come to having an orgasm.

@BlueMetalChick: Lol you caught me before I dropped off. Yes. I travel to Chicago and Rockford for my job. They have some great Italian restaurants. Mmmm

Quite a lot of assumptions you are making here.
@Ax17x7: Possibly, but a photo is worth a thousand words.

@Ax17x7: lol was about to say that too.
@5thApprentice: Nice that you're on the same page.
Why does everyone want to paint her as a victim so badly? Shes probably evil as hell.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Selah: I don't think she's evil. I think she's just stupid. She looks, talks, and behaves likes a vapid airhead.
@BlueMetalChick: I disagree, read "Fungirlsmm" response. She is highl intelligent.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Coyotedave611: I already did. I too came from "humble beginnings" although that's an understatement. I speak eight languages. I never cried myself to sleep at night because I rarely ever slept at all since I lived on a fucking roadside. And now I'm living in a big city in a first world country, going to college, working a job, with plenty of money and a stable life. Do you know what got me here? Not intelligence, not perseverance, not courage or determination or brains. It was good fortune. I am a lucky woman. My good luck got me where I am now. If I can do what I've done, then Melania Trump can do what she's done without being some kind of secretly very intelligent but internally sad and lonely person.

And regardless, why the flipping fuck would she be sad and crying herself to sleep when she's the First Lady of the United States, rich as a bastard and able to do anything she wants to?
GlassDog · 41-45, M
She reminds me a little bit of some members of the British royal family, who have a duty to serve their country, whether they want to or not. They're not an especially warm family, either. I don't think the Queen shows genuine affection for anyone. I don't think Milania gets it, either, and her husband seems to view her as one of the objects he's accumulated, or a tool to be used.
@GlassDog: Another great answer sir.🐵
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
Lol fucking WHAT? She's rich off her ass and married to the president of the United States. And you make that sound like some kind of miserable unhappy existence? She can travel the world, never has to work a day in her life, can have whatever she wants whenever she wants it. Sure, she's an ignorant brain dead skank and her husband is a goof ass orange skinned feral imp who is hated by most of America, but seriously man, come on.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Coyotedave611: Profanity and abusive language are as much an art form as any part of English, or writing in general. I do know how to speak Russian, Hungarian, Slovak, Serbian, Romanian, and French as well.
@BlueMetalChick: That really is impressive, especially at such a young age, even though I don't speak any other language than english I have a deep appreciation for language and for those who regard the use of it as an art form. My own skill is caligraphy so while not a master of speaking different languages, I do make he words kind of purdy. lol.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Coyotedave611: I'm a Gypsy. I have no home country and most people of my ethnicity wander around Slavic Europe, meaning that learning new languages is a necessary skill if you don't want to look like an idiot. And, given that I'm a fast talking con artist who likes to swindle dimwitted tourists out of their money, I need to be able to talk fluently, rapidly, and with flair to lure them into betting money on confidence tricks or gambling, so I can grift them.

I wouldn't trade places
No, I'm sure she has her reasons for staying in her marriage, but I don't think I could possibly be happy in her position.
Rickichickie · 56-60, F
I rather would like to cry myself to sleep when I'm rich than when I'm poor to be honest.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@Rickichickie: This is an excellent answer.

Don't feel so sorry for her. She knew perfectly well what she was doing when she married the orange clown. Nothing more than a gold digger.

[c=#4C0073]No, I wouldn't trade places. This is a classic example that money can't buy happiness. [/c]
Mguinm · 51-55, F
No I wouldn't.
