Is it possible to make yourself have specific hallucinations (without drugs)?

I'm coming up with ideas on how to improve my life, and one of them is imagining seeing one of my characters right in front of my very eyes. I understand that some people might find this a bit strange.

Sure, this is most easily accomplished via hypnagogic hallucinations, experienced upon falling asleep or waking up or during sleep paralysis. I have managed to manipulate those hallucinations during my time. Someone also mentioned meditation which I believe can induce hallucinations because your mind can enter light sleep during it.

However if you are having hallucinations while wide awake, that is a point of concern and should be looked into.

Fascinating. I'm not familiar with hypnagogic hallucinations, but I'll look into that.
How do u achieve these hallucination?? Any shortcuts

@Georgimy: No idea, I just started experiencing them randomly. Apparently they're more common than you'd think though.

I think I experience them more often when I am sleep deprived. Sleep paralysis for example used to trigger for me when I was severely sleep deprived and then slept on my stomach during the day.

What kind of introvert are you?

Just the typical introvert, or at least that's what I think.

@hiddenkitty: You're not typical. Seek help
Most of the people are ALREADY living under the effects of specific hallucinations. It would be incredible if they were to STOP hallucinating and see the truths of this world. If enough people were to become conscious, we might be able to save the planet.

Mind is a strong thing I suppose you could make yourself see things that aren't there.
You could try meditation.

I was considering that. I might try.
