How are our Texans holding up?

Heard there are rolling brownouts out there? How bad are they? I know the power grid wasn't meant to handle cold, but it's failing with heat too?

I'm good I live in Dallas though

ERCOT currently has 3-4 times the number of plants offline for maintenance than normal right now. Which is really surprising because of what happened back in February. Right now they’re just asking for conservation. Haven had any blackouts where I live or anywhere I’ve heard of yet.

Solar and wind. The most fickle power source there is.

@ViciDraco If they had coal or natural gas generation they probably could.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@jackson55 they get almost 80 percent of their power from natural gas, coal, and nuclear.
jackson55 · M
@ViciDraco As does most of the country. Wind and solar are a small percentage.
