Quick Question.....

Planning on going on my 1st Camping holiday soon, thanks to my good lady, so...at my humble old age....I am asking.....

Anything I need to know? What do I need to take?

Obviously, my girl is the 'expert' - she camped when she was younger - but I just want to get clued up on what I need to know...or expect!

Depends how long you plan to be gone, and if you’ll have access to showers/bathrooms or not.

Tarp in case it rains, or you want to sit under it to get out of the sun.
Small hanging tent light
Put some packaged dry ice covered by a small towel in the very bottom of one of your ice chest, it helps keep everything thing cold and the regular ice from melting so fast.

@SammyJo No, no. The dry ice keeps everything colder, the towel is just a barrier to keep everything from completely freezing over. Dry ice usually come in a block form, like this.

The closest I've come to camping is sleeping in a horning of a caravan on a freezing cold night. I particularly hated the idea of slopping out the toilet the day after. Luckily only number ones allowed. But other caravans were going the whole hog. It was a bike thought lol.
