Why do men act boring and stern when around their wives but act full of life and playful when around their mistress?

Because they are idiots? Because they want to blame their wife for the bad marriage when in reality they are being boring, and not investing in making the relationship work by spending time and energy on the mistress

Not me, I never had a mistress and don't want one. I am always happy and playful around my wife of 26 years and we worked together for 13 before that. Maybe that is why she married me and stayed..................or it is because I do most of the cooking and cook well, clean house and do the laundry.

They don't have all of the other responsibilities with the mistress. Their relationship only includes the enjoyable parts. They only see the best of each other. Also, it's new. We are usually more fun and exciting to somebody at the beginning of a relationship.

The marriage can be just a facade with no genuine connection between the two.
