If you ask for a hotel room with a view, do you expect something more interesting than a view of the town where you're staying?

Um, I look at the fucking pictures and expect whatever's in them. I don't trust the company to be honest for a second.

No, I'm never guaranteed a "good view" and it's better than no view at all. Besides if I'm visiting the place, it means something has drawn me there so seeing the town isn't bad at all, to me.

I've stayed in places that were flat for as far as the eye could see, I've had views of walls from the building next door and no views at all. Then I've had views of quaint towns I'm visiting, I had a view of the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland from my window as well and that was fantastic.

I guess it's what I decide to make of it, besides, not all places have scenic views and I'm usually not there for the hotel and view, but for something else usually, so don't mind that my hotel is more a crash pad. Now, if I were staying in Fiji or Bora Bora and all I could see were cinder block walls around a dumpster, I'd be upset. :)

But, that's me. You have every right to feel the way you do, we all take things in our own stride. Just because I'm fine with it, doesn't mean it's right for you or anyone else.

you should specify you want a sea view ect if all you said was you want a room with a view, a view of what?
the car park or the bin store you only asked for a view
