I was hoping those cops resigned from that unit because they didn't want to be associated with the kind of behavior. Nope. They quit the unit in protest of the gutless cops who were suspended. That speaks volumes.

A buffalo would make a better police officer than the violent thugs they already have in the force.

good.
if they think what they did was okay (punishing him down and walking off without rendering aid) then the citizens are better served without them.

bad news:
they only resigned from the riot unit - not the police force.
