From what i've heard the restrictions really can't be relaxed completely until there's a vaccine and that's a year to two years away from being available to everyone apparently. Hopefully things will ease up a bit in about six months though.

I reckon you're right. They have a flu vaccine but people are still dying from it, and they still haven't come up with a vaccine for the common sold. Covid-19 is going to become just another part of that landscape imo.
