Could you all please stop using words you don’t know the meaning of?

I just saw an American user call an British user a bigot because they had said they don’t care about US news. That’s not what bigotry is, you use it like that and you water down real bigotry.

People throw words around like salt these days. Bigot, fascist, Nazi, racist. They’ve all been watered down, and are used on people who just have a different opinion. People don’t want to discuss an issue, they want to call you names.
All those words have come to mean one thing: I don't like you.

a person who is intolerant toward those holding different opinions.

Sounds like maybe the Brit got it right - maybe.

Walder - get to the store and pick up a quart of tolerance.

Given the era we're in of information technology, it's pretty sad tbh that this happens more I feel than ever before.

American English is full of that.
Sad thing is most Americans don't even know there's a difference.

This site is full of anti-British bigots, and that is not a misuse of the term.

It's literally an offense against language. I agree.
