Do you believe everything people write on SW?

And more to the point, how much does it bother you if you know perfectly well that they are making it up, over embroidering, are in fantasy land or whatever? It doesn't bother me one little bit and it can get some fun conversations going.

I don't know. I maybe need to check some of my thoughts. It usually annoys me when it seems that other people are believing straight bullshit. Perhaps envy? I could make an alt account or not, and make up so much bullshit and get attention (Though, it's weird rules on when people actually call it out), if I was that kind of guy? It's also annoying because you know they're stringing along those poor souls. And it's annoying because it could (and a lot of time probably is) be YOU wasting your time on that made-up nonsense, and possibly getting catfished.

And the short version, it depends. On context. A whole lot. If it's one of those "My BF just did this, should I murder him and hide the body" and every thirsty guy on the site posting "Yes definitely do that and then we can hook up"... well actually never mind, just go ahead.

Not worried at all. People will say and do as they want.
Believe them or not. Makes no difference.
If I am suss about someone then I will Probably ignore them.

I don't plan on citing anything from here as a source for a research paper or legal document, so whether or not it's true is mostly irrelevant to me. It would be nice to know that people are sharing true, honest experiences, but I don't have the resources to validate every claim made here. So, I just have to have faith that people are being authentic, or as close to authentic as they are comfortable getting.

I'm fairly sure anyone who's used the internet for more than a day doesn't believe everything people say. The thing with bs is it's hard to remember. The truth is easy. I can't imagine how hard it must be to try and remember fake stories..and to impress who exactly? But like you said, sometimes it's fun to just play along like you have no idea
