Why do Americans (supposedly) love the english?
In truth a lot of the english can't stand Americans, especially when they can't even speak proper english

Which of the English were you referring to? The Welsh, the Scots, Northern Irish, those of mid east descent, or african?

wales, scotland and ireland are not english, and yes I agree most english do speak terrible english but i was referring more to americans changing words and their accents, at least have an english accent there's plenty of funny ones to choose from

I know what you are trying to say here but it's which of the British were you referring to. (England is England; Great Britain is England, Scotland, Wales N.Ireland; the British Isles is those 4 plus the Republic of Ireland).

You probably just don't encounter the Americans who couldn't care less about the English (or anyone who isn't an American). But they certainly exist here.
