There is great Evidence of Climate Change and I'm not disputing it, but my question is a serious one ..what's causing it ? Some say it's mankind's Carbon emissions, Some have other ideas of what's causing it...So what say you ?

Science has proven humans have caused climate change,and the rate is accelerating.The point of no return approaches ever faster.Then there is no debate,just catastrophe.
tallpowerhouseblonde · 31-35, F
@Jcoe94 There are so many of us it is having an impact,and that is even before looking at fast dwindling raw materials and food,plastic contamination,other forms of pollution.

@Jcoe94
science has merely proven warming to be a thing. Most believe we are at least pushing it along.
No, this is absolutely not the state of current scientific outlook on this situation.
@Jcoe94 very good answer

All I can say for sure, as I am not a climate scientist, is that while warming and cooling is a natural reaction, humans have had some influence. A factor rather than the whole.

@JAYS21 Like I said, a factor. Many things are a factor. Everything on the planet is a factor.
robb65 · 56-60, M
Somewhere between the first two. Humans are most likely affecting the climate change now, and probably have in the past, but not to the degree that the "climate change activist" would have us believe.

I respect your sincerity and curiosity, but it's certainly us. It's certainly us.
@BlueVeins thank you for your graph, nut it doesn't prove it's humans with all respect. It correlates with no other graph that shows a distinct correlation with mankind's emissions. still skeptical
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Climate has always changed and always will. Mankind is not causing and can not prevent climate change. PS warmer is better.
@hippyjoe1955 good answer
Instead of bankrupting our economies trying to delay what they say is inevitable..
Why not focus on preparing for a 0.00000000001 degree rise in temp?

It’s a natural phenomenon . We are now in a period of solar cooling like in the 70’s... let’s see if libs start the new ice age scam again
Ynotisay · M
It's undeniable what's causing it. Rising CO2 levels caused by man. Emissions have gone up more than 400% since 1950. We now have the result of that. The questioning of the science is nothing but an attempt to protect the fossil fuel industry and the businesses that rely on it.
Jcoe94 · 61-69, M
I believe it to be a normal recurring event in our planets life cycle. Now whether or not human mistreatment has caused its acceleration is I suppose debatable. I completely believe in the possibility.

@JAYS21 for now.

@JAYS21 naw. I'm near my lifes end. Maybe in a few years when I retire I'll live a hermit life in a cave. But it wont put a dent in anything. What's going to happen, is going to happen.
Unfortunately, the so-called 'evidence' is often presented to the general public by a media which relies on the profits it exacts from political scaremongering. We have yet to witness any of the media reports mention ethylene gas and its well-known and well-founded benefits to the global environment. No, I'm not going to explain it. Those who are genuinely interested in the welfare of earth should simply stop listening to the non-sense spewed out by the scaremongers and resort to their text-books on the sciences such as the principles of geography.
Jcoe94 · 61-69, M
@EugenieLaBorgia agreed. I hold little respect for media.
@EugenieLaBorgia good advice
MartinII · 70-79, M
It’s probably a combination of all three. But may I suggest that it would be more appropriate to use the past tense. Past climate change can, in principle, be measured and explained accurately. Future climate change cannot be - it can only be predicted or guessed at.
