I also believe in a gap that exists. The ancient Hebrew of Torah actually reads "and the earth became without form......" This could reconcile the fact that we can see further into a night sky with no ambient light, than the bible's implication of the age of the earth. It bothers me that there are people who actually believe the earth is less than 12,000 years old. That is just primitive. Might as well believe we are on the back of a giant turtle.
The only problem is 1:5 that says, "and the evening and the morning were the first day." It is ridiculous to deny the fact that we can see 100,000 years into space, and the bible says clearly that this is all less than 12,000 years old. Yet I am a staunch believer in the apostolic creed and the atonement through Christ Jesus. It presents a bit of a struggle.

@puck61 I do believe the Bible says a day is as a thousand years to God
and some believe there was man here before Adam and Eve ,they were just the chosen to be tested in the garden ,would they avoid satan ,or would they just have to be like God ,learn how to create life ..but that is speculation too .
He assures us when He returns the faithful will be told all He knows ,no more mysteries

2 Peter 3:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

When God told Adam the "day you eat of it you shall surely die "
Then in Gods time ,Adam didn't complete the day .

But the time line depends on the Prophecy ,as in Daniel 7 days was 7 years

I’ve heard this once ... starting to believe it’s true @rckt148

For life to exist things had to be formed in a series of events ,
The Bible explains how they happened .

The big bang in spite of all the BS .does not support those events

nor are any of the same elements found on the planets we have explored .
(not many of them ,but we act like we know so much ,we don't )

Albert Einstein famously said “The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know.” As I delve deeper into the world of developmental vision therapy and visual rehabilitation, I find myself thinking this quite frequently.

The sweet spot from the sun ,the perfect rotation

I have a list of scientists that agree ,it has to be a grand design

But since I have a few first hand experiences with God myself .

I will let the know it all's call me a liar ,and offer their proof that does not exist ,both theories require faith in them

I have something no one can explain or take away

Some of the best doctors on the planet said "Its impossible ".but we can't argue with the facts ,"I guess we call this a miracle "
"You're daughter looks as if she grew a new spine ,there is no more disease "

Good enough for me ,,and that's not my only experience with "God "

Let them think what they want ,,but sadly

The events the Bible says are soon coming ,not even the Christians I know are ready for it ,they act like we can pick and chose when to obey God too
Its sad .
He gave so much ,and one fallen angel has sure messed things up .
But He seen that coming too ,,free will ,gotta love it

2 Corinthians 4:3 King James Version (KJV)
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

And they don't even know it ,,they are "Religious "

Matthew 5:20 King James Version (KJV)
20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

They thought they spoke for God too ,,but the "Word made flesh " ,said they didn't .

That was nicely well put ! @rckt148

@MrsCurious Thank you ,and thanks for the BA
God bless

Disagree. .

There's lots of scientific proof that God didn't create this earth for us.

God didn't even create us. Evolution 101.

Still I do believe in God though

Well why are you here ? If it interest you but then it’s stupid that’s a little contradicting because if something interest you then you don’t think it’s stupid. That’s like saying I think Bill Nye the Science Guy is stupid but I watch it anyway. @Nomad7
MrsCurious · 26-30, F
Don’t you think it’s stupid that you cane here just to be a troll ? If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all. We are just speaking opinions rather you like it or not it’s just an opinion. It’s ok to give knowledge but it’s how you give it what makes people cling to your knowledge. If delivered in another form than the one you chose it’s not quite respected but hey once again that’s just my opinion ✌🏼@MrsCurious
Nomad7 · 22-25, M
@MrsCurious I didn't come here to be a troll. And everyone isn't entitled to their opinion. You could say that pigs can fly, doesn't make it true, does it? There has to be some basis in fact.
The terms mentioned in your article were attributed to a god by the novelist(s) of the Bible. They had great fun and it's been a best-seller for 20 centuries. Doesn't mean everything it says is true
Steve42 · 56-60, M
I believe it 100%. All the time. Never a doubt.
redredred · M
Your summary of the scientific thought is as simplistic as the bronze-age myth you quote. The average 10year-old understands that you need time, space, matter and energy for there to be life.
DDonde · 31-35, M
@redredred That was my first thought as well. It's not "decades or so", it's built upon centuries of previous scientific thought. It's not like it's some kind of new revelation.

So was the female created by taking a part from the male?
DDonde · 31-35, M
What is it even trying to claim?
